The Happy Healthy Kitchen encourages healthy cooking confidence and independence by providing easy-to-follow recipes, cooking tips, and step-by-step videos, especially designed for the disability community.

What kind of recipes are commonly available?

A wide selection of healthy, easy-to-follow recipes catering to various meal occasions, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a focus on simple ingredients and clear instructions. We plan to  have 100 recipes added, and welcome suggestions on making your favourite  food or recipe  a healthy version!

How can I learn cooking skills or get started?

Happy Healthy Kitchen,  offers step-by-step videos, tips, and recommended resources to help our community master  techniques safely, build confidence and independence in the kitchen.

Can I share my own recipes?

You can leave your details through the contact form on the website, and they will get in touch by email when new recipes are ready. You can also join the community by following their Facebook page.

Many of our recipes are vegetarian but we include a wide range of recipes from Chicken Curry to Lasagne, all using good quality meat. We are very aware of costs and budgets so offer alternatives to try which can help reduce overall meal costs but not taste or quality.
